Fixed Annuities

With a Woodmen of the World fixed annuity, the owner is guaranteed a minimum interest rate of between 1% - 3%. The current interest rate is set monthly by Woodmen of the World and fluctuates – depending on the prevailing rates in the marketplace. Woodmen of the World guarantees that this rate will never be less than the guaranteed rate.

Is a Woodmen of the World fixed annuity for you?

There are many reasons to purchase a Woodmen of the World fixed annuity. Carefully consider your family's needs and financial situation when determining what type of annuity is best for you. Many of the features of a fixed annuity are listed below.

  • The Woodmen of the World fixed annuity offers the flexibility of a single lump sum premium or several flexible premiums over time.
  • An annuity can be established for as little as $50 per month or $600 per year.
  • Minimum guaranteed interest rate from 1% - 3% for the life of your annuity
  • Pays a competitive nonguaranteed interest rate
  • Tax deferral of earnings means you do not pay taxes on your earnings until you withdraw the money. Because your earnings are not reduced each year by taxes, they can compound faster over time.
  • Ability to set up a payment stream that you can not out live.
  • Death benefits can be passed on to your heirs free of probate.
  • Wide variety of settlement options that allow you to shape the withdrawal to fit your income needs.

Woodmen of the World fixed annuities are available in three different forms: single premium deferred, flexible premium deferred, and single premium immediate. See below for a brief description:

Configurations of a fixed annuity:1

  • Single Premium Deferred Annuity (SPDA)
A single lump sum premium is paid and the annuity begins the accumulation phase. At some future time, you can make the decision to begin distribution. The distribution can be tailored to fit your income needs.
  • Flexible Premium Deferred Annuity (FPDA)
An initial premium is paid and additional premiums can be made during the accumulation period. At some time in the future, you can decide to annuitize and begin distribution. The distribution can be tailored to your income needs.
  • Single Premium Immediate Annuity (SPIA)
You may have a CD mature, receive a lump sum from a company pension or any other source of cash you want to begin using to supplement your retirement income. Woodmen of the World's SPIA is the ideal product to accomplish this. A single premium is paid in and one of several payout options can be chosen.

Woodmen of the World's surrender charge periods and percentages are based on your age at the time your annuity is issued.

There are several options you can select from when you purchase an annuity product.
