Make A Difference Day Saturday, October 24, 2009Woodmen of the World lodge members volunteer for various projects throughout the year, but one project in particular focuses their efforts on cleaning up their community. Woodmen of the World members know that a little help can go a long way. Join other volunteers on the fourth Saturday of October for Make A Difference Day, an annual event sponsored nationally by USA Weekend magazine. It is a day set aside to make a difference by helping to clean up a community. Look around your community … what needs work? Examples of past Make A Difference Day projects are:
