Members of Lodge 1111 SC have been bringing school supplies, underwear, and toiletry items each month since the first of the year. These items were taken to Fostering Hope, a non-profit organization which tends to the needs of children who have been taken out of bad home situations and are to be put in foster homes. Fostering Hope supplies each child with school supplies and five complete clothing outfits the first time they are brought there.
The Lodge carried all the donations which we had collected to Fostering Hope and spent a few hours voluntering. It was a very humbling experience. The lodge has already decided to do more volunteering on a regular basis, and we will probably take some of our older Youth girls with us next time.
